(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) honored Mi Cocina Restaurant with the Small Business of the Year award for the 40th Assembly District.
“It is my great pleasure to honor Mi Cocina Restaurant as Small Business of the Year. They serve wonderful food and treat their customers as their own family. Like any good business they outgrew their original location and had to expand to meet demand. I am so happy the 40th Assembly District gets to enjoy Mi Cocina Restaurant,” said Assemblymember Ramos.
Mi Cocina Restaurant is family-owned and operated since 1991 in a 60-seat establishment in Highland. After 20 years of hard work, the Lopez-Arroyo family expanded its business and relocated to a 200-seat facility.
Mi Cocina Restaurant is recognized as Business of the Year due to the authentic and delicious Mexican food they serve, loyal customers, hospitable atmosphere, and friendly service. By contributing to the success and sustainability of the community in which it does business, Mi Cocina Restaurant enhances the quality of life for local residents and instills a strong sense of pride in the individuals with whom it is associated.
