(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) today had four bills receive approval by the Assembly to continue on to the Senate.
“Thank you to the Assembly for joining me to address the priorities in the 40th district: access to apprenticeship programs, suicide prevention, workplace safety, and fair lending practices. I hope these bills continue through the Senate to the Governor’s desk,” said Assemblymember Ramos.
The four bills voted approved by the Assembly are:
- AB 529 which will prohibit mandatory overtime for psychiatric technicians employed in state run facilities.
- AB 539 the Fair Access to Credit Act of 2019, authored by Assemblymember Monique Limón (D – Santa Barbara) which will cap interest rates on consumer loans.
- AB 1558 which will expand apprenticeship programs in high school.
- AB 1767 which will expand school district suicide prevention policies to grades 1 to 6 that is age appropriate.
Each bill will head to the Senate, where they will be taken up in their respective committees.
