(Sacramento, CA) –Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) issued the following statement on the signing of the 2019-20 state budget:
“I made a commitment to my constituents to fight for the Inland Empire. This budget reflects that promise. At the request of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, I secured $3 million in state funding to finally bring a dog park to Central Park, the first major addition of green space in over ten years. San Bernardino receives $3 million in critical support to develop general plan amendments, making investments in affordable housing and community development. Lastly, this budget invests in young people of Native American heritage by providing $10 million for tribal youth diversion programs. These grants will immediately improve outcomes for Native American youth by prioritizing services that are culturally based and rooted in the community.”
