Assemblymember Ramos becomes first Native American Sworn in to CA State Assembly

(Sacramento) Assemblymember James Ramos (D-Highland) was sworn in to the California State Assembly December 3, 2018 becoming the first California Native American elected to the state legislature. Prior to running for elected office, Ramos served on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. As an Assemblymember, Ramos plans to address homelessness, education and public safety issues for his district.
