Ramos Co-Authors Quirk-Silva Legislation to Create Regional Approach to Address Homelessness

(Sacramento, CA)Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) has co-authored a bill to create a Flexible Housing Program (FHP) that will provide regional funding to address homelessness. The FHP will pool funding resources into a single program that regional homelessness agencies can access for a variety of housing options such as rental assistance, operating subsidies for housing developments, re-housing, case management and wrap around services.

Ramos Announces $9.3 Million Homeless Aid Grant

Ramos (D-Highland) is pleased to announce that the San Bernardino City & County Continuum of Care has received a $9.3 million Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) grant from the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council.

Ramos Seeks Community Input on Bills

Assemblymember Ramos’ Statement on Mary’s Village Groundbreaking

Ramos Takes Oath as Newest Assemblymember for 40th District

(Sacramento, CA) -  James C. Ramos (Highland) was sworn in as the Assemblymember for the 40th Assembly District today. 

With record-high voter turnout, California voters ensured the 2019/2020 Legislative session would stand out in history by granting Democrats a super majority in the state Assembly.  Not since 1883 have Assembly Democrats had such a significant stronghold in the Capitol.  Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) inaugurated the newly elected legislators today, solidifying that three-quarters of Assembly seats be occupied by Democrats.
