(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) has co-authored a bill to create a Flexible Housing Program (FHP) that will provide regional funding to address homelessness. The FHP will pool funding resources into a single program that regional homelessness agencies can access for a variety of housing options such as rental assistance, operating subsidies for housing developments, re-housing, case management and wrap around services.

Milestone reached as the first California Native American elected to the State Legislature

(San Bernardino, CA) – As the first California Native American elected to the state legislature, Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) held his in-district swearing-in ceremony on February 9 at California State San Bernardino. The swearing-in was conducted by Speaker of the Assembly Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood).

Ramos (D-Highland) is pleased to announce that the San Bernardino City & County Continuum of Care has received a $9.3 million Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) grant from the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council.
