Assemblymember Ramos Statement on Passing of Agua Caliente Vice Chairman

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland), Chairman of the Assembly Select Committee on Native American Affairs, issued the following statement on the passing of Larry N. Olinger, Vice Chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Tribal Council:

“It is with great sadness that Indian Country has lost a leader. Larry N. Olinger, Vice Chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Tribal Council, paved the way for many of us. His leadership throughout his life will always carry on in our hearts and minds.”

Ramos and Reyes Veterans Cybersecurity Bill Passes Senate Veterans Affairs Committee

(Sacramento, CA) – Today, Assemblymember James C. Ramos’s (D – Highland) bill assisting veterans with cybersecurity employment has unanimously passed the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.

“When our veterans return home and seek civilian employment, it’s important they know we’re there for them. For veterans who have previous cybersecurity experience and have a security clearance, this bill will help them quickly transition from military service to their new career,” said Assemblymember Ramos.
