Ramos and Reyes Veterans Cybersecurity Bill Passes Senate Veterans Affairs Committee

(Sacramento, CA) – Today, Assemblymember James C. Ramos’s (D – Highland) bill assisting veterans with cybersecurity employment has unanimously passed the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.

“When our veterans return home and seek civilian employment, it’s important they know we’re there for them. For veterans who have previous cybersecurity experience and have a security clearance, this bill will help them quickly transition from military service to their new career,” said Assemblymember Ramos.

Ramos Bill to Strengthen Native American Cultural Preservation Heads to Senate

(Sacramento, CA) – Today the Assembly voted in favor of a bill from Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) that will strengthen the relationship between the California Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) and state agencies, while also adding tribal considerations to the possession and repatriation of Native American human remains and artifacts.

Four Ramos Bills Head to Senate

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) today had four bills receive approval by the Assembly to continue on to the Senate.

“Thank you to the Assembly for joining me to address the priorities in the 40th district: access to apprenticeship programs, suicide prevention, workplace safety, and fair lending practices. I hope these bills continue through the Senate to the Governor’s desk,” said Assemblymember Ramos.
